Work packages
As outlined in the general REEDS project description, the network has identified three key areas in which it wants to make a contribution to current research into dialect syntax:
infrastructure: topics related to setting up dialect syntax projects, making databases, creating/annotating/parsing corpora, etc.
methodology: methods—both quantitative and qualitative—for investigating dialect syntax data
theory: the development of theoretical analyses of dialectal variation and change
The network wants to develop initiatives tailored specifically to each of these three work packages and in order to achieve that goal, we have assigned program leaders to each of the topics:
Infrastructure program leaders
Melissa Farasyn (Ghent University)
Maud Westendorp (UiT The Arctic University of Norway)
Methodology program leader
Jelena Prokic (Leiden University)
Theory program leaders
Edoardo Cavirani (KU Leuven)
Cora Cavirani-Pots (KU Leuven)
Carolina Fraga (CUNY Graduate Center)
William Oliver (Stony Brook University)
The initiatives developed by the program leaders for each of these work packages will be advertised and highlighted on this website.
